The East Berkshire Skills Centre (EBSC) is located in Vale Road in West Windsor and comprises of three designated workshop spaces for Vocational Education. These are: Construction, Motor Vehicle Engineering and Hairdressing. We have an IT room, a student common room and a Departmental Office.
We want your time with us to be enjoyable as well as having the chance to make vocational choices about your future. We will work closely with your school, parent or guardian and, most importantly, you yourself to ensure that you are able to succeed. It is a real opportunity for you to excel in a subject that is not usually available to you at school and to lay a foundation for a successful career pathway.
The Aims Of The Programme
These courses have been designed to:
- Provide you with a range of relevant, practical skills and knowledge supported by the theory behind the craft.
- Create an environment that will encourage and help you to take responsibility for your own learning and progression
- Enable you to achieve a nationally recognised qualification
- Ensure that on successful completion of the course, a range of further education or employment options will be available to you.
Throughout the programme you will be supported by your tutor, centre staff and your teachers back at school.
